The Myotherapy Association Australia began life as Myotherapy Association of Victoria. As an emerging health profession, the popularity of myotherapy as a valuable career pathway in health sciences meant the association quickly identified the need for graduates and practitioners nationally for peak body representation. Today, the Myotherapy Association Australia are Australia’s only industry association dedicated solely to the needs of myotherapists and myotherapy profession. In essence, myotherapists help people in pain to move better and live their best life.

Join our host Tessa Verrier as she chats with myotherapy practitioner, MA Board Director and member Tom McLeod as they unpack what it takes to build a successful allied health practice. Tom shares his views on building a client base, patient and staff retention, the importance of planning and how he and his team now work seeing 300+ patients per week.
Tom McLeod has BHSc Clinical Myotherapist and Diploma in Bowen Therapist with 15 years of experience in the soft tissue industry and has recent (Oct 2021) joined as a Director on the Myotherapy Association Board. He has a special interest in the rehabilitation and treatment of sports injuries. Tom has taught Myotherapy at the Gordon and has continued teaching professional development courses.
Tom is a passionate sportsperson who loves to keep fit and be involved in sporting clubs. He has previously supported the following sporting teams and clubs to overcome and prevent injuries and manage their health.
